PRIVACY
Privacy policy: what we collect, which is almost nothing
The Footy Slip has no accounts, no comments, no newsletter and no advertising trackers, so it collects very little about you. This policy follows the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, and explains the little that is collected, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Nothing through the pages themselves. The site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising scripts.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical data for each request, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Search data. We use Google Search Console, which reports how the site appears in Google search in aggregate. It doesn't identify individual visitors to us.
- Emails you send us. If you write to us, we keep your message and address to reply, and for no other purpose.
Links to bookies
When you follow a link to a bookie's site, that bookie's own privacy policy applies from then on. We don't pass your details to any bookie.
Storage and your rights
Emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with them. Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask what we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it; write to the address on the contact page. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with its date. Last updated 29 September 2026.
